Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Facewash {Product Recommendation}

Product Recommended: Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Facewash

A few words about the product
I had stopped using the product after I had reviewed it long back in July and I am not consistent with my face washes. As you all might be aware that I am heavily tanned right now and I switched back to this product because I wanted to finish the remaining half-finished products and I noticed that this face wash has given my face an immediate glow which remains almost throughout the day. None other face washes have given me that glow. And, even in winters, it doesn't dry out my face. So, yes, this is a great product which has stood test of time and also stands on its claims of radiance and probably has improved my skin tone too (helped remove tanning a bit).
  • Stands on its claims better than other brands like Garnier and Ponds
  • Pretty affordable and last for a long time

New Section : Product Recommendation

I thought I would start a new section on product recommendations.

Why?
This section would have info about the product which I feel is really good and has helped me in the long run. It might or might not have been reviewed earlier on the blog.

How is this section different from Product Reviews?
You tend to use a product for a long time and during different seasons or skin states and reviews might have been written at only one of these phases. So, the product recommendations would include the products which have stood test of time.

Frequency of Recommendation
Well, I can't promise to be regular in this area as you don't often come across a product which you would love to bits, right??? So, may be once a month!!! And, the recommendations can be found on the tabs above and older recommendations would also be archived on the same page.

Launch Date
Tomorrow, 11th December, 2011.

Hope you enjoy the section :) And, don't forget to give feedbacks!!!

Tips to wake up during colder mornings {Health}

[Source: Google Images]
Body feels sluggish in the winters so I am putting down some tips and some yoga poses to help your body awaken in the mornings. Try them out, they actually work.
  • Drink lemon/lime juice in the morning as soon as you wake up. It helps with your bowel movements.
  • Splash your face with rose water / water seven times. This wakes you up.
  • Click your teeth together to set off rousing energy in the body. Follow with gum massage.
  • Trataka is an eye exercise which should be done for the health of your eyes
    • Rotate eyes in clockwise direction five times.
    • Repeat in anti-clockwise direction.
    • Simultaneously, stretch your body completely as soon as you wake up (Yastikasana).
      • helps kick start your metabolism
      • gives your body a powerful stretch
  • Awaken your third eye - massage the center of your eyebrows with your forefinger dipped in oil.
    • this alerts the rational part of your brain
  • Anuloma-Viloma and Kapalabhati are two amazing yogamudras to awaken the body.
These tips will also control the unwanted weight gain in winters.

Look young with makeup {Tip of the Day}

Yes, make up helps you look young. True!!! But, whenever you are trying to chisel out your features and highlight them, make sure that you do not make them look too sharp. Sharper features look harsh and make you look more aged. This is more of importance when you are trying to chisel out your jaw line or making your cheek bones look higher. Keep your look softer and a little rounded and use lighter colors. Go for eye-pleasing colors when you choose eye shadows and lip colors. Bold colors again make you look older

Clean&Clear Skin-Balancing Moisturizer {Product Review}

This review is written by Isheeta.
Price: Rs 50 for 50ml

My Experience
the texture is very light and a very little product is needed for one time
It has been long since I had been literally wanting to use the Clean&Clear Skin Balancing Oil-Free moisturizer. My past experiences with this range hasn't been great but this one definitely caught my eye as hydration for my skin was one of my major concerns and I believe one of the root causes for most of my facial issues. So after the last dollop of my Lotus creme got done with, I went ahead and bought the smaller version of this moisturizer [small but ample for a long time]. Cleansed and scrubbed as I normally do and then got to massaging in with this moisturizer - Cautiously at first but with ease progressively. And Behold! True to its word, Oil-Free 'twas! No greasy feel, soaked to the pores, soft to touch skin. That was the first day. Come evening, I tried it on again. And the next day. My skin felt deliciously hydrated, smoother, softer, nourished, and no, the face does not get oily as the hours tick. A week later I noticed a healthier skin and felt no dry patches that were before using this product. It also does not have any fragrance that sometimes irritates the nose.

My Recommendation
A must go-for!! It's an absolute must-have. Also makes up for a rich eye cream in emergency or for first-time users.
